Short answer: According to our customer satisfaction survey (n=1010), people choose Goodweigh primarily for its convenience (72 per cent), followed by reviews from others (39 per cent) and medical guidance (39 per cent). Customers who deliberately prioritised reliability and guidance turned out to be the most satisfied in the long run.
When choosing an online weight-loss programme, people weigh up several factors against one another. From our customer satisfaction survey conducted in June 2026, we now know which factors are decisive and which customers are subsequently most satisfied with their choice of Goodweigh. The responses are strikingly clear, and what follows is perhaps even more interesting than the initial choice itself.
The three most important reasons for choosing Goodweigh
Convenience is the clear winner: 72 per cent of customers surveyed cite ‘online and easy to arrange’ as their reason for choosing Goodweigh. This is followed by two factors that are almost neck and neck: 39 per cent cite reviews and other people’s experiences, and 39 per cent cite medical guidance.
It makes sense that convenience ranks first, but the pattern behind this tells us more. Customers are not only looking for a quick solution, but also for confirmation that a treatment works, and reassurance that it is carried out under safe guidance. It is precisely this combination of convenience, social validation and medical care that lies at the heart of how Goodweigh is structured.
Who is most satisfied afterwards?
Customers who chose Goodweigh in the first place because of its reliability and medical guidance turn out to be relatively the most satisfied afterwards and the most willing to recommend Goodweigh. Customers who chose Goodweigh primarily because of the price are also satisfied overall, but slightly less enthusiastic than the first two groups.
This difference says a great deal about managing expectations. Those who consciously prioritise the medical aspect of a treatment know that the outcome requires time and guidance, and approach the process with realistic expectations. These expectations are subsequently confirmed, which increases satisfaction and the willingness to recommend the company.
Clear communication about quality and guidance is therefore not only more honest, but also attracts the customers who subsequently prove to be the most satisfied. Anyone unsure about which option to choose would therefore be wise to first familiarise themselves with how the initial consultation and guidance at Goodweigh work.
Convenience: what this means in practice
‘Online and easy’ sounds abstract, but the responses show exactly what customers mean by this. No referral from a GP is required, no weeks-long wait for a face-to-face appointment, medicines delivered to your door, and the opportunity to ask a healthcare provider questions at any time.
This low barrier to access fits into a broader trend within the Dutch and European healthcare systems. Studies on the reimbursement of digital healthcare services in eight European countries show that digital treatment pathways are increasingly becoming a fully-fledged alternative to traditional healthcare, partly because they are more accessible and faster. Studies of teleconsultations since the COVID-19 pandemic also confirm that online healthcare in general practice has increased structurally – not as a temporary stopgap, but as an integral part of the way people seek healthcare. At Goodweigh, this means a weight-loss programme that starts entirely online, with an initial consultation that fits into the customer’s daily routine.
The role of reviews and testimonials
Almost four in ten customers (39 per cent) cite reviews or other people’s testimonials as a decisive factor in their choice. This is consistent with a well-known pattern in medical decision-making: people place great importance on social validation, particularly when it comes to weight, where previous attempts have often failed and scepticism is understandable.
One customer put it perfectly: “I’ve heard good stories on Instagram; I’ve already tried so many things, and this really is my last attempt – and it’s actually working. I’m so happy.” This experience is not an isolated one. On Goodweigh’s reviews page, several customers share similar stories, and this sense of recognition provides just that final nudge.
Medical guidance as a point of differentiation
Medical guidance is cited by 39 per cent of customers as the reason they choose Goodweigh, and this is a key distinction from unregulated providers or purchasing medication oneself without supervision. The guidance provided by Goodweigh consists of an initial medical consultation, ongoing monitoring and easy-to-access support for any questions or concerns.
This monitoring is not only reassuring; it is also a safety measure. An expert consensus on supportive care for GLP-1-based treatments emphasises that guidance on nutrition and lifestyle contributes to a safer and more effective course of treatment. Other research into lifestyle guidance in connection with the treatment of obesity suggests that systematic monitoring helps to detect side effects in good time, rather than them going unnoticed or being misinterpreted.
According to Farmacotherapeutisch Kompas, this form of monitoring is particularly important with weight-loss medication, as dosage and effect vary from person to person. Goodweigh’s coaching in connection with medical weight loss is designed precisely for this reason: not as an extra service, but as the core of a responsible treatment programme.
What makes Goodweigh the right choice?
This isn’t self-praise, but a summary of what customers themselves say: convenience combined with genuine medical guidance and the reassurance of others’ experiences. The pattern in the data is clear: the most satisfied customers are those who consciously chose the programme, asked questions and entered the programme with realistic expectations.
